1. Theme Installation
First download your theme package from your ThemeFarmer Account.
To install the Cosmica Pro Theme you must first have a working WordPress installation. For information on Installing WordPress, please see Installing WordPress, from the WordPress Codex. Once WordPress has been setup in your hosting environment, you can install your theme one of two ways:
WordPress Dashboard: download your theme and sign into your WordPress dashboard (e.g., yourdomain.com/wp-admin). Navigate to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload, and select your zipped theme folder, click “Install Now”. Once the theme is uploaded you will need to activate it.
FTP upload: download and un-zip your theme folder, and using the FTP program (Ex. FileZila) of your choice upload the theme folder to the ‘../wp-content/themes/’ folder on your server. After that Activate theme into WordPress site Admin Dashboard → Appearance → themes.
Now the theme is successfully installed on our site, step up to the next step.
1.1 Set the Licence Key
After that Activate theme into WordPress site Admin Dashboard → ThemeFarmer Auto Updates
There are two field to fill the Activation Key
Get your Activation/Registration Keys From Downloads
Now Enter the Keys in both fields a) Paste Public Key in Public field. b) Paste Private Key in Private field. c) Submit the Keys by Submit Button
2. Set Demo Content
You can install your theme’s demo content with the .xml file. you can find cosmicapro-demo-data.xml under your theme's cosmica-pro\inc.
or
request it by support ticket if not in theme folder
2.1 WP Menu -> Tools -> Import -> WordPress ( Install and Run Importer )
2.2 Choose File -> Select (cosmicapro-demo-data.xml) File -> Upload File & Import.
2.3 Select your user name “assign posts to an existing user:” -> Tick checkbox ( Download and import file attachments ). -> Submit.
3. Set Custom Menu
You can setup and manage your menu under Appearance → Menus, in your WordPress dashboard. See the Codex WordPress Menu User Guide for an explanation of the custom menu system (Note: this tutorial is for WordPress.com, but the process is the same).
Create a new Menu by assigning availablePages & Post.
4. Set Logo OR Title
There are two types on option available in theme option panel
a) Logo
b) Title
Admin Dashboard → Cosmica Pro Options → General Options → Custom Image Logo
You can use Image Logo and Test Logo. if logo not added "Site Title" will be shown
To use Image logo, upload and provide recommonded height and width.
To use Text Logo, enable the option “Text Title” on General Option tab
Here You also able to upload "Site Icon (Favicon Icon)" that show on browser title bar
5. Set Home Page
Our theme home page has 15+ different sections. Explaining below one by one in sub points:
5.1. HomePage Layout
Under Cosmica Pro Options → Homepage Options → Homepage Layout you can Simply Change order of sections or Disable By Drag And Drop
5.2. Set Home Slider
Slider is second section on home page come layout manager. There are two task to do (a) Add Slides (b) Manage Slider Settings.
(a) lets add some slides. Go To Admin Dashboard → Home Slider → Add Slide.
(b)Manage Settings from Cosmica Pro Options → Homepage Options → Slider Options
In Slider Settings, you can set
- Auto-play ON/OFF
- Enable Pause On Hover.
- Slide Show Time
- Slide Transition Time
- or use third party slider plugin
5.3. Set Home Services
To add Services Go to Admin Dashboard → Services → Add Service and fill related details.
To add Service to Cosmica Pro Services.
You can customize Cosmica Pro Services in Cosmica Pro Options.
Go to Admin Dashboard → Cosmica Pro Options → Homepage Options → Service.
In Service Settings, you can set
- Service Section Heading
- Service Section Description
- Service Section Limit
- Service Section Background
5.4. Home About US
To Manage About US section Go to Admin Dashboard → Homepage Options → About US and fill related details.
5.5. Home Skills
To Manage Skills section Go to Admin Dashboard → Homepage Options → Skills
5.6. Home Contact Us
To Manage Contact Us section Go to Admin Dashboard → Homepage Options → Contact Us and fill related details.
5.6 Cosmica Pro Blogs
To add Post to Cosmica Pro Blogs.
Go to Admin Dashboard → Post → Add New Post and fill related details.
